Here is some Kentucky Derby information according to one site. There are tons of other sites where betting odds can be found too.Since the derby will be ran on Saturday 5/4/13, there could be changes in the the horses that actually run so be sure to keep up on all that before you go and make your winning bets! Trainers, jockies and even what post position the horses will be bolting from are major factors when choosing the winner(s). So who's your money on so far? For those of you who don't have a race track near you, you might be able to find a local establishment that offers off track betting or OTB. If you want to feel some awesome excitement, check out the How To Bet link below, and give it a try! It's so much fun! How To Bet On Horse Racing: Kentucky Derby Gambling GuideI will most likely be betting an exacta box with 4 horses. I'll be at an anual live horse race event this week where they will offer OTB for the Kentucky Derby too. Fun, fun ... FUN! Good luck to anyone and everyone betting on the horses this weekend! 2013 Kentucky Derby Detailsate and Time: Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 7-7:30 p.m. ETVenue: Churchill Downs; Louisville, Ky.Grade I, 10 furlongs, Purse: $2.18 million
HorsePoints in 2013OddsVerrazano150 points4/1Orb150 points6/1Revolutionary110 points8/1Goldcents 129 points15/2Overanalyze110 points10/1Normandy Invasion44 points10/1Itsmyluckyday50 points14/1Javas War122 points16/1Vyjack70 points16/1Will Take Charge60 points20/1Lines of Battle100 points20/1Mylute42 points25/1Palace Malice50 points25/1Oxbow36 points35/1Mylute42 points35/1Black Onyx50 points40/1Frac Daddy44 points45/1Charming Kitten20 points50/1Golden Soul14 points50/1Falling Sky30 points75/1 The Favorite : Orb (6/1) may go off as the race favorite this year and deservedly so. This is an extremely talented horse who has shown a great improvement over his past few starts, and given his pedigree and the fact he's very suited to this distance, it'll be hard to knock off Orb this year. The Best Bet : Normandy Invasion (10/1) rattled home at the Wood Memorial for a second-place finish and will be looking to do the same this year if the pace is slow, which it may well be. He has an excellent pedigree of speed and residual stamina, and is therefore suited to this race - which could lead to another strong finish down the outside this weekend. The Long Shot : Mylute (now 25/1) was my outside pick when it was 35/1, and I'm sticking by that. This isn't the greatest field this year, and if Orb is blocked for a run, then Mylute has more than enough talent to hit the line first. He was very strong over longer distances in the Grade II Louisiana Derby, and with Rosie Napravnik as jockey, he may well surprise a few people this weekend.
