But some privacy advocates aren't convinced that consumers will feel comfortable trusting personal information to a massive database controlled by a single company."

MSN Wallet will feature real-time integration with E-commerce sites. In the past, Microsoft provided incentives for E-retailers to offer discounts to shoppers who paid with Passport Express. But it often took days or weeks for consumers to receive the credits because Passport Express on the merchant side wasn't directly linked with Microsoft's databases. With real-time integration, the promotional aspects are tremendous, says Andre Bryson, chief marketing officer at Ritz Interactive, an operator of numerous retail sites, including BoatersWorld.com. Usage of Passport Express on Ritz's sites was miniscule, Bryson says."
