If I wake up and Jesus says It is time to go Pam. Then I know the end is here.Nothing else will phase me.There have been so many of these ideas and such that come and go.I just never let myself get to nervous about any of them.They hold no power with me.Excellent thread daremeto, thanks for posting. Here are my 2 cents on the Mayan prediction that the world is going to end on 12/21/12. From now until 12/21/12 I am going to .......... PARTY LIKE IT'S 1999! That should tell you right there what I think will happen!

I do not think the Mayan prediction of the world ending will come true BUT I do believe that whatever the Mayans predicted for that day will come to pass. Starting on 7/20/12, I have been swept up into the world of conspiracies. I started looking into the facts that the Colorado shooting was a false flag which lead to other things that I had no idea about. Other False Flags, the Rothchild family, New World Order, Alien and UFO conspiracies, HAARP and the 12/21/12 Mayan prediction. There is so much more but too much to list. Once you get sucked into this world full of rabbit holes, it's hard to get back to reality. You become a doomtard quickly as you read everything about all the doom and gloom and you start to believe a lot of it ...... to a point. When I came across the Mayan prediction, I was petrified (being the noob that I was and still am technically). I'm thinking OMG, the world is going to end!!!!!!! I have to get my sign and start pacing up and down the street to warn everyone! (not that I really was going to do that but it was a funny image I had in my mind of me doing it) After researching a bit, I found that yes, it's true the Mayan calendar ends on that date BUT and I'll quote The Mayan calendar marks the end of a 5,126 year old cycle around December 12, 2012 which should bring the return of Bolon Yokte, a Mayan god associated with war and creation. Author Jose Arguelles called the date the ending of time as we know it in a 1987 book that spawned an army of Mayan theorists, whose speculations on a cataclysmic end abound online. But specialists meeting at this ancient Mayan city in southern Mexico say it merely marks the termination of one period of creation and the beginning of another. So now that brings up a twist to the Mayan prediction. And that is ....... there are other cultures that have the exact same target or the same date line or a 2012 target. lmfao . . . good post Mben! you gave us some food for thought. i feel pretty much the same way you do. i do not think the world is going to end on 12/21 but i do feel something is going on, and what that something is i have no clue, and i agree some really strange things have been happening. a good example is the big storm that is happening on the east coast, can't say i like the name they gave it, the perfect storm i sure do hope that it does not do very much damage. global warming, according to the NSDIC the polar ice caps are melting at an alarming rate, according to NASA's measurements the ice is melting 30,000 square miles a month, a month! also another thing i have noticed is the aurora borialis, i lived in alaska about 25 years ago and i have seen them several times, and omg were they ever so beautiful, i don't think i have ever seen anything as beautiful. lately i have noticed in pics that i have seen posted on the net, they are not nearly as beautiful as i saw them back in the day. to someone that has never seen them it is an experience they will never forget, i can't help but think that somehow it is our fault they are not as spectacular, with all the crap that goes up into the ozone layer. also i don't know about where you live but here in oregon there has been an unusual amout of murders lately, quite a few of them i hear how the person that did the murder was such a nice person and you never would of thought they were capable of commiting a crime. i mean do they just wake up one morning and say, i think i am going to kill someone today society just accepts things these days, instead of standing up and saying that this is wrong and we need to do something about it because it is just getting to out of hand. what happened to morals and respect? they seem to be a thing of the past. lol i better quit while i can because i could just go on and on and on. oh and the $1.52, i will start a tab for you lol

My take on all this: No one knows but God when the end will come. If you ain't right with Jesus, you better get that way, and none of us get out alive.At least, no one has lived forever thus far, as no one knows when forever will be lol. As for all the theories, my brother is a conspiracy nut, and i spend too much time debunking his weird ideas!

You never know what might happen ..... other than you might just get hugged back even harder! This is such an interesting prophecy to follow. I read on another non gambling forum that a school in CO left a telephone message to parents that stated because of the recent shootings in CT and because of the MAYAN PREDICTION, their school will be on total lock down during school hours and all practice drills for the day have been cancelled. How strange they would even say the words Mayan Prediction . It goes to show you how this prediction is affecting the world. We shall see! This reminds me ....... What do you all think about NASA's (false) prediction of 3 days of darkness (Dec 23-25, 2012)? Will we be sitting in the dark for three days because the planets are going align with the sun and blanket us in utter darkness? (notice i said false )

So true, cat! In my defense, I am playing along with the end of the world hype in hopes that there are no children that visit this forum. There may be some that stumble on it somehow, but I am targeting our adult members. And I'm not saying you meant anything towards me at all. Really. Hugs! It's just after reading your reply, I didn't want anyone to think I was being insensitive towards the children. I have the pleasure right now knowing my 2 grandkids are far too young to understand any of this. That will change when they get older. And I thought I would say to them that nana is making jokes about whatever doom is happening at that moment in time. So why joke now when there are older children who may be affected by my words? Because, like I said .... I am targeting our adult members and this is the only place I have talked about it. If I slip and say something in front of a child, mine or others, I will deal with it as best as I can, knowing I did not intend to do harm. With that said ............. They - means media, news,radio and no my kids dont visit the forum,if you read my post i was commenting on the media reports. In my defense (in case there were members who feel I am being insensitive about it all) .... cat, I really know you were talking about the media and such but it made me think about what I have been posting. I don't want members to think I am contributing to the media hype (which I am in a way). But only to have a good time with the discussion on the forum and not to cause harm to any children. You made me think about the hype in a whole different light. And I probably shouldn't have said the words in my defense . Ok, so now that we're past that (thanks for your PM) let's get ready for the big event! I gotta go pick out an outfit! lol
sorry cat, i posted this originally as a joke and curious as to what others think , nothing less and nothing more. for me it has been alot of fun to read others posts on this subject. none of us really think the world is going to end, God is the only one who has that knowledge and he sure isn't going to give us notice as to when that will be
