I bought a \new\ computer today :)

OK, so it's new to me ...This computer might be older than most of you - it's a 1982 model (I think)No hard drive - just dual floppy drivesThis is basically comparable to my first PC - my first computer cost VERY close to $2,000 in 1982 dollars - this one cost me $16. They're selling on Ebay for $200+ ...

Hi PSP:What exactly makes them collectors items?Does the buyer just hold on to it to look at or do they actually use it in some way or another? I havent seen one like that since I was in high school.                                                                                                    Pam

That was the first readily available personal computer. Some people use them (they do very little), but mostly it's just a collectible.It's an IBM Personal Computer, Model 5150 - here's one on EbayThat one is more expensive because it has a HUGE hard drive in it - 30 MB!
