I don't know if you can appreciate how powerful these waves are unless you've done some surfing. Most waves (even big ones) are relatively thin, so that they are powerful just due to their size. These waves are huge and unbelievably THICK, making them incredibly powerful. Add to that the fact that they are only breaking in a few feet of water covering incredibly sharp coral and you might begin to understand just how INSANE this is!
