Now, I thought that it was good for a withdrawal as long as you have made a deposit into that casino and made it through the playthrough/turnover. If not, then what good would they be for? Now I'm confused (which isn't a rarity with me actually anyway....lol)

I'm sure that it is good for a withdrawal. I think she means playing for comps because she was all the way up to 5k and there is no way she is pulling that much out off of a free chip. So you may as well play it for all the comp points you can rack up until it is played down to the maximum withdrawal amount.
