No offense to the article, but I am one of those mushrooms that really enjoy sitting in a dark corner. It is the way gambling has been for a long time. The whole atmosphere of the casino is one of excitment, chance, and fun. It is where dreams are made or lost to some folks.To replace that with a iPad would certainly lose the whole experience for me. It is more than just a big machine in front of you. Again, the machine only plays a part of the whole experience to me. The whole casino setting works together for the full experience. Row after row of machines to choose from. The chirping of noises and the bells and whistles. etc.To me, it would just lose some of the excitement that the casino has today. The games are huge, big screens for progressives where banks of machines all watch the same screen as their bonuses are played out. I ecspecially like the way you get to talk to the other players in the casino when you sit down on a row of games.Oh, changes never stop. I still remember when quarters would fall from the bottom of your machine when you played and you would need help carrying around your buckets of quarters to get them to the cashier. Change came, and now everything is on a paper slip. That was a needed change I guess, for convienence, but I KNOW other folks miss those good ol'e days too. There was something about seeing real cash fall from your machine that made it REAL. When I get a paper slip now, it feels not real to me, and tempts me to play more. Just me.As I read this article, I cant imagine how the world in Vegas would handle this change.Still, if change never stops, and it was the only way I could gamble, I would either have to accept the change, or give it up completely and I dont see that happening. hahaMben, this was a article that really fired me up.
