Aspers Casino, located in Westfield Stratford City, opened it's doors yesterday. This is a 65,000 foot casino situated on the third floor of the largest shopping mall in all of Europe It has 40 gaming tables, 92 electronic terminals, 150 slot machines and a 150 seat poker room. There is an 80 seat restaurant, a cocktail bar and a sportsbar too. Michael Gutman, managing director of Westfield in the UK/Europe and New Markets, had this to say. The casino will be the icing on the cake for our leisure and entertainment offer at Westfield Stratford City. We believe the entertainment and retail offer we have created for Westfield Stratford City will prove to be a real game-changer for consumers on the Eastern side of the capital. The opening of the Westfield Stratford City super casino has created as estimated 440 new jobs to complement the 8,500 permanent positions created by the opening of Westfield Stratford City back in September.

Aspers Casino Breaks All Records! Since opening 2 weeks ago, Aspers Casino in the UK has shattered launch attendance records! Some 75,000 customers walked through the doors of their 65,000 foot casino since 12/1/11. This amount is almost 3 times more than what was expected. Because of this, the casino had to hire 30 more employees to handle the crowds. This makes a total of 470 employees. 10 more gaming table are also going to be set up to handle the Christmas rush of gamblers. Aspers Casino is the largest casino in the UK and is now a benchmark for others to try and follow.
