Windows Installer Package Error Trying to download RTG Casinos

Hello Guys

I didn't know if any of you might of had this problem you could help me with, but every time I try and download ANY RTG Casinos....I am getting a box that comes up and says this: Windows Installer Error: This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package. Have any of you seen this? Or know how to fix this problem? I have emailed one of the casinos I was trying to download two times now, and they have never even responded to me Just thought I would check with ya.  thanks

I've gotten that error after trying to install a couple of RTG's. I believe I deleted the casino download, deleted the folder that the install created,deleted temp files, cleaned my registry and then redownloaded the casino and tried the install again. Sometimes I would just blow off installing the casino and have gone to their instant play and then some time later, when I wanted to install the casino, it did install for me. But because I clean my registry and delete temp files on an almost daily basis, that may have had something to do with the casino installing. Maybe this will help, maybe it won't but give it a shot, lillysmimi!

Hey there, thanks for the tips....I will go ahead and try and yes I also decided to play the instant play version, just seems like the games are better downloaded =) But I am gonna try what you mention, thanks again!

Thanks for the tip!  I get this error on several casinos that I had previously uninstalled.  I have had this issue for months when I to re-install.  I have updated drivers, etc.  I am going to do what you suggested and see if that works!  Thanks so much this is the only place I have found that recognized this error issue!

I always forget to add ... disable your anti-virus during the install. Anti-virus programs offer great protection but can affect installs too.I forget to add it because I never do it but have read a lot of times that it is a fix for others.-- Edited by Mben on Thursday 30th of January 2014 11:47:17 AM

On my old computer the only way I could install a RTG casino was if I turned my anti-virus off.
