My son-in-law was telling me that while on a trip in CA, they had stopped at a store, and the cashier asked if he'd like a bag. He looked at all the stuff he just bought and thought "Well duh!". She tells him that she will be charging him for them. Then he thought "I rarely have to deal with the straw situation, but we do bring our own bags to the grocery store. They sell reusable plastic ones for 10 cents ea if you need more. I don't qualify as a tree-hugger, but we do recycle as much as possible
